The Giving Gallery seeking artists and peers with a passion for mental health

Alexandria, VA – Mental Health America (MHA) and The Giving Gallery (TGG) today announced a new partnership that will uplift artists while simultaneously supporting mental health organizations, including MHA.

TGG invites artists passionate about mental health to join their growing community of creators selling their artwork to help raise awareness and funds for mental health charities. A large percentage of every artwork sale supports both the artist and a partnered mental health charity of the buyer's choice.

“Through partnering with mental health charities, we hope to open doors for artists and buyers to learn more about mental health and create art with an impact.” said Amanda Lipp, TGG founder and CEO.

Buyers of art prints can select MHA as one of the partnering nonprofits to receive a portion of the art sale.

“With the other artists and with the nonprofits, it feels bigger – doing something you love to do, and it going to something you believe in,” said Elle Porter, an artist for TGG.

In addition to raising funds for nonprofits, MHA and other mental health resources will be highlighted on the gallery’s website.

“The Giving Gallery exudes the spirit of amplifying lived experience, which is core in all we do at Mental Health America,” said Niya McCray-Brown, MHA's community engagement manager. “Art is a vehicle for healing for those who create it and those who enjoy it. MHA is excited to increase mental health education and awareness through this partnership, as well as provide a pathway for much-needed mental health funding.”
